Looking to the Sky

17 Comments/ 63/ 1

We have had the most amazing sunrises the past two mornings. I know the recent snow was simply beautiful (especially since it was all gone the next day) but these sunrises were stunning. I have honestly never seen such beautiful skies.

Monday morning broke and I popped outside to snap a couple quick pictures.

Tuesday morning was even more spectacular. Local television stations were flooded with pictures that showed the skies with vivid colors including a pink rainbow. I did not see that from my vantage point but what I did see was pretty wonderful.

What a wonderful way to start the day. Are you a sunrise or a sunset person? Let me know in the comments and Comment for a Cause – WWF Relief for Australian Wildfire Recovery.

Those sunrises are spectacular in their beauty. I have always been a sunset person given the gorgeous orange ball sunsets of the prairie. Unfortunately, I’ve lived in a valley for nearly 40 years and don’t see sunsets. So now I appreciate the sunrise. Today the sun shines bright here, so welcome in this Minnesota winter.

I love a good sunset as well but there is just something about a sunrise that makes me smile. I guess it is the start to a new day -the anticipation of what that day will bring and what I will encounter. I do love sunsets at the beach and try to see as many as I can when we are on vacation.

I so love sunrises and sunsets. Having a dog means I need to get up and take her for her morning walk which is great because I get to see some amazing sunrises in out neighbourhood. We can see the sunset from our terrace so we are very lucky. Your pictures are fabulous.

Oh I bet your sunsets from your terrace are spectacular as well. Dot helps you with those sunrises, I bet, and what a nice way to start the day. A dog walk and a sunrise.

I’ve noticed several people are posting about sunrises. I don’t have a great spot to see sunrises from our house, and unless Katie-girl wants to go out at exactly the right moment I won’t see anything. So it’s nice to see them here!

That is the thing I love most about our house here. Our bedroom is perfectly situated to see them and that is the most wonderful way to wake up.

Beautiful! I love both sunrises and sunsets but the way our houses is situated, sunsets are way more visible.

I am more of a sunset person but those sunrise pictures are beautiful. Whether on the west coast of Florida with my family or out west with the kids, the sunsets are nice way to take a few moments to enjoy the end of the day.
