Miniature Love on Teapot Tuesday

7 Comments/ 350/ 1

Today’s feature on Teapot Tuesday is a brand new miniature tea set that I found at the Biltmore.  One of the fun things I like to do when we are on the estate is shop.  Of course I do.  There are several shops on the estate and in the Antler Village area as well as in the Inn.  Each shop has a different focus but many of them have teapots.  Biltmore and tea just go together.

This cute little tea set all decked out in blues and pinks and caught my eye.  It all fits on a cute little dish and showcases each little piece.

To give you a little bit of an ideal of scale take a look at this shot below.  A dime is just about the size of one of the little cups.

So what do you think?  Is this not a cute set?

The best quality tea must have the creases like the leather boots of Tartar horsemen, curl like the dewlap of a mighty bullock, unfold like a mist rising out of a ravine, gleam like a lake touched by a zephyr, and be wet and soft like earth newly swept by rain.

Perfect for a tea party with a little girl. Fancy dresses. Big hats…

That’s beyond adorable. I still have an itty bitty tea set that I got for the girls when they were little and used to have pretend tea parties. Miss those days. 🙂

I’ve heard “dime-size cups” as a joke, or (rarely!) reference to price–thanks for sharing these real ones!
