More Things Found in Books

9 Comments/ 214/ 0

I have shared several times before of some interesting things found in books that have been donated to our American Association of University Women group for our book sales. It’s fun to see some of the things that folks use as bookmarks. Please see the offerings today.

A beautiful picture of a place I would like to be.

A laminated announcement.

How about a program from the University of Michigan?

This makes me wonder if there was a huge gap in the card file.

Recipes are quite common book marks.

How about a cute class photo?

A handmade bookmark with a beaver which is pretty adorable.

Finally a letter that was presented with the book.

What is your typical bookmark? Conventional or unconventional. I would love to know what you use so please leave me a comment.

These book posts are so much fun! And this time there was an actual bookmark! My sister gave me a Bible and I love that it has ribbons attached to mark the place.

These are so interesting. I feel sad people have list these items though.

You will be delighted to hear that I found a to-do list in a book and that prompted me to write a creative nonfiction story for an annual anthology contest I enter. I’ll let you know if it gets published.

Always interesting to see what you find in those books. 🙂 Lately, in my library books, all I’ve found are the slips that tell you when your books are due. Not so interesting.

I have a huge assortment of bookmarks so I use different ones all the time. I watered a friend’s houseplants while she was away for 2 months and she brought me back a fabulous magnetic bookmark.

The blow-in cards in magazines are handy bookmarks.

I love when you do this blog! So fun and interesting. I use regular bookmarks most of the time. Years ago, when I helped teach bible school, we made bookmarks out of velvet material. I treasure it and keep it in my bible.
