A few weeks ago I joined up with the ladies over at Chaotic Goddess Swaps to join in on their Mug O’Comfort Swap. It was pretty simple—just agree to follow a few guidelines, make a couple of blog posts and send a basket of love to someone else. Of course since it was a Mug O’Comfort swap one of the items had to be a mug and some fabulous things to put in the mug.
I got matched up with the lovely and witty Jenni from Sincerely Jenni. We both live in Iowa and have “met” virtually as she has a fabulous feature on her blog on Wednesdays where she highlights Iowa bloggers. I was featured a few weeks ago and we hope to meet in real life in the next month. So when I found out that she was my swap mate I was thrilled!
I set out to get some things to send to her and was thrilled when her overloaded box arrived for me! She definitely spoiled me with her lovely selections which included some lovely caramel flavored coffee, some great K-cups to use in my Keurig, some hot chocolate and mocha packets, a lovely tin of flavored coffee that will probably be used for creamer, some Milano cookies (how did she know my favorite?), a beautiful mug and a cute little pack of chalkboard coasters. It was a wonderful gift to receive on yet another cold Iowa winter day.
I will definitely be checking out the Chaotic Goddess Swap site again because it was fun to shop for someone else and of course fun to receive that package in the mail.
I have the kettle on so stop on by—-I am happy to share! If you want to see what I sent Jenni you can click here to go to her post with her goodies!

Leave a commentThat looks like fun! And what a lovely package you received from your blogging friend. I hope the two of you DO get to meet in person soon!
It was a really nice swap—something fun to do when the winter was dragging on and on and on. Today the rain is here! Better than snow.
What a lovely thing to do!! We are blessed to be a blessing to others, enjoy your treats and have a great rest of the week 🙂
Thanks! I plan to!!! You, too!
🙂
Yum!!! That sounds like a lot of fun.
She filled the box with a ton of goodies!!!! Yummmers!
This reminds me of the grab bags in Ben Franklin which I coveted as a child, except way better. Surprises like this are especially fun.
Very fun.
I am glad you two ladies had such a good time. Both of the boxes looked very good. Enjoy them.
Mine was exceptional!!!!
What fun! It’s so great to meet new people online and I’m glad your swaps went so well!
It really did—Jenni is amazing!!
I had so much fun filling up that box, but of course because it was for you! 🙂 And I can’t wait to meet you! My parents have pushed their moving back into May, so I’ll let you know an exact date later on. 🙂
I have used the mug every single day since it arrived. I hid the cookies….the rest of the stuff I am working through. Lovely! Thanks. Keep me posted on your trip here!!!!
I am so glad to hear that you, too, received a packet of cheer!!! 🙂
I did!! I did!!! I resent a little package to you today so hopefully it will arrive in a little better condition!!!!
Beth Ann, you are too sweet and very thoughtful. I’ll let you know when it arrives!
Hope in the correct number of pieces. 🙂
What fun. Milano cookies are such a treat. And the selection of coffee looks wonderful! I don’t think you ever outgrow looking forward to a package in the mail. Remember when it use to take FOREVER.
Yes!!!! It used to take forever indeed!!! I have the cookies still hidden from Chris. Heehee. I think we may break them out when we go to Ohio in a couple of weeks.
How awesome is that?!
Incredibly awesome!
I saw your basked to her too, how lovely. 🙂
Fun idea Beth Ann! Creme Brulee!!!
It’s almost all gone…..it has been a nice treat!
What a lovely basket of goodies. That will keep you warm until spring arrives!
Wow! That is a seriously full package. She spoiled you. Glad you enjoyed the swap.
It was jam packed full, wasn’t it? I am definitely loving every bit of it. Thanks for stopping by,
What a nice idea, and some lovely things you received!
This is what sucks about being a one income family – I just can’t participate in these kind of things because it’s not in the budget. I hate money dictating my heart. I’d love to be able to be a blessing to some I know could use it.
I’m so glad we got to pair you together, because you both rock…and how fun that you had already met online! Yay! I love those goodies, including that fun paisley mug. You two definitely spoiled each other. 😉
Thanks so much for joining us for this swap!
It was a fun one and I definitely want to do the book swap later on! Thanks for all the work you put in organizing these!
That sounds like a lot of fun!
I think it is amazing that you two are both from Iowa and are planning to meet soon!
I know!!! It is an amazing small world out there !. This swap was a lot of fun and I definitely want to do some more in the future.
