Who-o-o Will Argue with This Teapot Tuesday?

18 Comments/ 89/ 0

I have shared this teapot before but it really is one of my favorites for fall.  Who doesn’t love owls and this tiny teapot is perfect for fall tea time.

I also love this one because I remember exactly when and where I got it.  We were living in Lima, Ohio after Chris’ s dad passed away.  We stayed at the family home so that we could take care of Carlton and get him ready for the big transition to move to Chris’s sister’s home.  We lived there about 7 months and it was both fun and a challenge to live with Carlton.

One of the things that I learned was that nothing was safe at night after I went to bed.  Carl liked to move things and rearrange items and I quickly learned that this was HIS home and I was a visitor so it was up to me to figure out how to make it work.

So this little teapot became my hiding place for my stash of Halloween candy.  It was small but allowed me to keep some of it away from him because for some reason he never looked inside it.   Win!

A cute little teapot and coordinating plate and little bowl found at TJ Maxx will always remind me of those days spent with Carlton and will always bring a smile to my face.

Thanks, Darlene. Sometimes the stories behind the teapots are the best part of them.

So sweet! The memories are the the best. My mom has her grandma’s China cabinet and whenever I see it i remember standing in front of it and scratching at the door waiting for my great-Grandma to give me a piece of chocolate that i knew was in the drawer inside!

Thanks, Audrey. Living with Carlton always had me on my toes but it was time I am so happy we were able to spend with him especially now that he is declining so quickly. I will always have those memories.

I LOVE owls, so this is a teapot I’d enjoy having around — it’s almost too pretty for anything other than decorative use, though!

It is really cute, isn’t it? I seem to love owls as well judging from how many owl decorations I have around.

It is, isn’t it? The back stories are what make things real sometimes.
