Purrfect Teapot from Paris on Teapot Tuesday

10 Comments/ 156/ 1

Paris was enchanting.

Paris was everything I had hoped it would be and then more.

Paris was magical in a way that only those who visit can explain.

On one of our first days in Paris we ventured into a book store / tea room.  I KNOW!  Perfect combination, right?

Out of all of the things for sale in the shop there were really only two teapots for sale.  Chris spied this one and told me I had to get it.  How could I say no?

When I spied the tea cozy that went with it I knew the set was complete.

Cats and Paris go together just like tea and books go together.

My favorite cat on the teapot is this cutie.  What do you think he is thinking?

“There seemed to be so many things that I needed, but I held myself in check and purchased only essentials – with the exception of one extravagance. I had determined that I would drink my tea like a lady, even in a log house; so I purchased a teapot and two cups and saucers of fine china. I felt somehow Mama’s mind would be much more at ease about me if she knew that I was having my tea in the proper fashion. After all, civilization could not be too far away from Pine Springs if I had such amenities!”

The perfect souvenir from Paris. I love those cats and that it comes with a matching tea cozy! Every time you serve tea in it you will have fond memories. The Janette Oke quote is wonderful. It is amazing how something like a china teapot can make you feel closer to home.

My oldest daughter would be at your door to ‘borrow’ this teapot and cozy. It’s lovely.

Yep, it’s a purrfect Parisian souvenir. Even that cute little smiley kitty on there looks French to me. Oooh-la-la!
