Second Week of Advent –Peace

5 Comments/ 173/ 0

Second week of Advent brings Peace. Something that our weary world needs so desperately today.

What does peace mean to you? For me peace is that feeling that I feel inside when all is right with my little world. It is the feeling of calm when there are no distractions and worries and concerns that are weighing me down.

Often I feel that peace when I am spending time in nature. There is something so calming and soothing about feeling that I am at one with nature. I love sitting on our dock in the morning, sipping a cup of coffee and enjoying the peaceful solitude that the lake provides at that time. SThat feeling of peace and yes – usually quietness- is what keeps me going. That peace inside allows me to share that love of God that I feel and that gives me peace.

During this really challenging year of stress and uncertainty I pray that each of us feels that sense of peace that comes from God. Seek it out, my friends, and know that it is only a prayer away.

Yes, being out in nature definitely makes me feel the most peaceful. I always call it nature therapy. 💕

Nature brings peace for sure as does an intentional calming of the spirit in prayer and reading of devotions.

I found complete quiet time in my home and nature and peace talking to my Lord.

With the world in the state it’s in, it’s a must to find peace in our own places, isn’t it? And God will provide it when we rely on HIm.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...
