Shopping in Brevard, NC – White Squirrel Shoppe

22 Comments/ 1734/ 2

I have long sung the praises of our great shops in Brevard, NC and today I am featuring one that just keeps getting better and better.  The White Squirrel Shoppe LLC is located at 6 W. Main Street in Brevard in the heart of our lovely little town.  Manager Lorraine Skala has outdone herself and the shop has become one of my favorite spots to visit on my trips into town.

Of course the shop is aptly named for the famous white squirrel that inhabits our area.  A rough estimate of 1700 white squirrels live in the Brevard area and they are truly a fun thing to see.  Brevard makes the most of the white squirrel and even has a 3 day festival honoring them that draws in huge crowds.

The White Squirrel Shoppe is the place to buy anything white squirrel. From t-shirts to socks to stuffed animals this is the place to find it.  I even bought a dog toy here for Penny featuring white squirrels in a log that we gave her for Christmas last year.  If it can have a white squirrel on it The White Squirrel Shoppe sells it.

Did you see that white squirrel mask?  I have been given orders by SEVERAL people to refrain from buying one.  It is so tempting.

The store boasts a great selection of socks and not just squirrel socks.  An entire wall of socks in the back of the store is pretty fun to look through for that perfect sock for that special person on your gift list.

If you aren’t into white squirrels don’t despair. There is plenty of other fabulous merchandise that you can find in the shop including a lot of women’s clothing .  My new favorite brand is Simply Noelle and I am thrilled to see that their selection of this line is increasing .  Honestly these really are the best fitting pants I have ever had.  The line is full of fun casual dress items and has become a staple in my wardrobe.

As you can the store is chock full of fun merchandise.  And don’t get me started on the beautiful scarves.  There are going to be a few new ones in my collection this fall.

The shop also has a great garden area complete with chairs, garden flags, outdoor mats along with a vast amount of novelties.

Trust me.  A trip to Brevard is not complete without a stop at The White Squirrel Shoppe.  Where else can you find so many great gift items in one place?  I mean really.  Who doesn’t need a set of flamingo fingers?

Stop by sometime and make sure to follow along on their different social media channels listed below.  The staff is always friendly and extremely helpful.  The small town love is here and they show it every time a customer steps inside their doors.  This is one shop you don’t want to miss.

* This is not a sponsored post and I was not compensated in any way.  I just love this store.  Plus you can take your picture in a white squirrel cut out.  What’s not to love?

I like the white squirrel socks! And probably the pants. Pants are so hard to find to fit me. And I like that vneck tshirt too.

What a cool little shop! Next time I’m in Asheville, I might just have to take the hop, skip, and the jump to Brevard & get my fill of white squirrel!

I love little stores like this and could spend a good while just wandering around. I saw your pictures of the white squirrels and was so surprised. Don’t think I’ve ever seen one of those. We had pretty red ones in Germany but that’s the only other color besides grey I’ve ever seen.

My sister has black squirrels in her yard in Ohio but our white squirrels are what makes our little town “famous”. We have seen more where we live this year than ever before so it must have been a good year for them. 🙂

They are truly white squirrels- not albinos. It’s a real cool thing in our town.

This store looks so fun! That mask is kind of creepy but also hilarious. The clothes look really great too. Would wear a lot of them!
