Teapot Tuesday – A Bit of Toile

6 Comments/ 83/ 0

Toile is a fabric, from the French word meaning “linen cloth” or “canvas”, particularly cloth or canvas for painting on. The word “toile” can refer to the fabric itself, a test garment (generally) sewn from the same material, or a type of repeated surface decoration (traditionally) printed on the same fabric.

Today’s teapot is one that I got from an eBay seller years ago and it just looks springy and happy so I decided it was a good one to share today.

The repeated pattern is on both sides and I love the depth of the details.

Just look at this perfect spout. This is a sturdy and great pouring teapot.

Enjoy a spring time tea and hopefully your day is warm and lovely today.

I love this one, it looks vintage. Perfect for Earl Grey I think.
