I feel like I need a mouse teapot after all of our mouse adventures last week at my mom’s old apartment. Let me tell you it was not a pretty sight. As a matter of fact it was downright grisly at times but we made it through and she is now relocated in a new apartment with no critters.
So today I thought I would share one of my smaller teapots with a squirrel theme. They are kind of like mice, aren’t they?
Cute, right? And as I write this I have a pair assaulting my freshly filled bird feeders. The battle continues.

Leave a commentI agree that squirrels are a lot like mice except for those bushy tails. But at least I don’t fear them like I do mice.
Glad your mom is settled into her new mice-free apartment.
Squirrels are much cuter. I have a huge fear of their cousins and can’t even type the word. This teapot is a adorable.
Agreed, squirrels are like mice or rats. Crawling with vermin, they are disgusting. However the teapot is super cool!
I love how whimsical this one is!! The squirrels are running all over the yard these days — digging up whatever they buried. Or at least trying too because our ground is not completely thawed just yet. It’s hilarious.. they get about a little bit dug and then have to give up LOL. The cat just sits in the window with his nose pressed against the glass watching.
Squirrels are quite entertaining that is for sure. I love watching their antics.
I used to have a salt and pepper “tree” like this! One one branch hung the salt, and another, the pepper. It matched this perfectly! There were squirrels built intp the tree, and the shakers were acorns. Wow. I love this! Hugs.
Oh how cute! I got a plush tree with squirrels poking out holes in the trunk for grand puppy Penny . I don’t think it lasted too long but she had a lot of fun with it!
Very cute. I love squirrels. Trayse does not.
I bet he loves to chase them! 🙂 Or at least bark at them!
I read on Nextdoor that you can buy suet with red peppers in it – the birds can’t taste but the animals can and it will prevent them from it. Don’t know if a similar thing works with putting red pepper flakes in the bird seed. Might be worth looking it up?
I have often put red pepper in my bird seed —it deters some critters but not all. but yes–it does work on a lot of critters if you are diligent about using it which I have not been as of late. 🙂
I’m half asleep – the writing above is atrocious….
Very cute, reminds me of our brown squirrel Suzie, daughter of the Old Man.
It is a really fun teapot, isn’t it? How can it not make you smile when you look at it?
