Teapot Tuesday – One of These Is Smaller Than the Other

10 Comments/ 60/ 1

Teapot Tuesday is here again and today I am showing off another Habitat for Humanity ReStore find. For a mere $2 this little beauty came home with me and you can imagine that I was quite happy. Japanese Brown Glazed Redware teapots are quite common and not that pricey because there are so many of them but I love them. This one is special because it is small and in such great shape.

What is there not to love about this beauty? It is just the perfect size to brew one cup of tea for me.

The real thing that I love about this is the fact that I have another teapot that came from my mom that is the same type but just a little bit bigger. They make the perfect pari, don’t you think?

What a sweet find, right? I absolutely love finding vintage teapots in thrift shops and this one definitely put a smile on my face.

When all is complete deep in the teapot, when tea, mint, and sugar have completely diffused throughout the water, coloring and saturating it…then a glass will be filled and poured back into the mixture, blending it further. The comes waiting. Motionless waiting. Finally, from high up, like some green cataract whose sight and sound mesmerize, the tea will once again cascade into a glass. Now it can be drunk, dreamily, forehead bowed, fingers held wide away from the scalding glass.Simonne Jacquemard

How great to have a big sister and a little sister teapot. I love little teapots just for a cup of tea for me and this one is very sweet. I’m not sure if you find these teapots or they find you. xo

I like the earthy tones, the patterns, the lack of fussiness.

It is a basic no frills teapot but it does have that paint embellishment so it is no plain Jane. 🙂

What’s the odds you would found a teapot that is such a great match to the one your Mother gave you. I love that. The tones are great.

Well probably pretty good considering how many teapots I have. 🙂
