Teapot Tuesday – Shades of Blue

10 Comments/ 90/ 1

You all know that I love a bargain and when I find a bargain teapot it makes me smile from ear to ear.  On a trip to Affordables on First in Mason City, Iowa  I found a couple of great buys and of course they involved teapots.  I always love to stop in Affordables because it is always a treasure hunt of sorts to see what I can unearth on each visit.

I love this store on First (they have another location in Mason City on North Delaware Avenue) because they have a huge selection of furniture and home items. This is the endeavor of NIVC which was a Comments for a Cause recipient awhile back. They allow their employees to receive some hands on training and help to integrate them into the work force which is such a wonderful thing. The store on First has amazing employees and they are always so willing to help you find that perfect item that you are looking for.

You can imagine how excited I was to find this set .  It is beautiful and is flawless – it actually looks as if it has never been used.

I think you can see why I love this one. The four little cups are perfect for sharing with friends and the kettle is always ready to put on so why not stop on over sometime?  I would love to treat you to a nice cup of tea.

We sell tea in Starbucks, but I think the experience is very different. I think coffee is something that is quick – it’s transactional. I think tea is more Zen-like. It requires a different environment.  Howard Schulz

I love how you connect stories with all of your teapots. Do you record dates and locations of purchases and gifts?
