Teapot Tuesday – Wind Chimes by The Spoon Girl

22 Comments/ 113/ 1

I have several “outdoor” teapots that keep my love of teapots alive outside.

Today’s teapot was a great find at our recent White Squirrel Festival.  My friend, Marci, alerted me to a booth run by The Spoon Girl (Brittany Townsend)  and I had to look it up.  She had an amazing selection of recycled metal and silverware pieces for sale and when my eyes spied the teapot wind chimes that Marci had seen I knew they had to come home with me.

Mr. Diamond hung a special hook for me that is on the back deck where it is sheltered just a bit so hopefully these wind chimes will survive okay here.

I absolutely love these, don’ t you?  I have several other teapot wind chimes but they are ceramic and unfortunately a couple of them have met with disastrous winds and / or critters and not survived.  I am hopeful that this metal one will have a long and melodic life on my back porch.

Some people love wind chimes and some people hate them.  Where do you fall on the spectrum?  Inquiring minds want to know.  Remember each comment this month means a 50 cent donation to The Lakeside Fund.

Having picked some tea, he drank it,
Then he sprouted wings,
And flew to a fairy mansion,
To escape the emptiness of the world….

I love this wind chime tea pot. One of our neighbors has wind chimes. I love how they sound.

I think you either love them or hate them. I personally love them and love to hear the ones the neighbors have as well. There is always a nice little melody playing between our two houses.

Oh, how neat! I agree that’s a special find. I love wind chimes! I have one of the big heavy ones (that sound like a church organ) on our front porch, and on the side I have a sailboat with bamboo chimes. Two entirely different sounds, but I love them both!

I really want a really big pair like what you have on your front porch. I think that would really be a great addition because they would sound totally different from all the other ones we have hanging.

We found some that are actually ‘tuned’ to certain pitches. I love the lower toned ones.

I don’t have any bamboo ones but they do make a really neat sound, don’t they? Thanks for stopping by!

I knew they were yours when I saw them! Happy chiming! I love wind chimes and actually have a couple – one of which is one my Mom bought years ago made from silverware spoons. They no longer look as nice as they did when she bought them – now all discolored from the weather (I should try using silver polish and see what happens!) – but they still sound beautiful!

You were so sweet to point them out to me and I am always going to think of you when I see and hear them. I have several types but this one is quickly becoming my favorite.

Isn’t it adorable? And this one won’t break like some of the other ones I have had that met with too much wind. 🙂

I think the artist MUST know you, the piece should be named “The Beth Ann”.

I fall in the hate them category, if they were hanging anywhere near my home. Far away and they are fine.

I do like this teapot version, which is simply perfect for you.

That is adorable! I love it! Wind chimes are so neat and that is one of the cutest ones I’ve seen. Of course, I’m a sucker for teapots!
