Blue and White Tea Set Love on Teapot Tuesday

12 Comments/ 67/ 0

You all know that I love a bargain and when I find a bargain teapot it makes me smile from ear to ear.  I used to love to shop at Affordables on First in Mason City.  I always found great buys and of course they involved teapots.  Shopping at  Affordables was always a treasure hunt of sorts to see what I can unearth on each visit.

I loved this store on First (they have another location in Mason City on North Delaware Avenue) because they have a huge selection of furniture and home items. This is the endeavor of NIVC which was a Comments for a Cause recipient awhile back. They allow their employees to receive some hands on training and help to integrate them into the work force which is such a wonderful thing. The store on First has amazing employees and they are always so willing to help you find that perfect item that you are looking for.

You can imagine how excited I was to find this set .  It is beautiful and is flawless – it actually looks as if it has never been used.

I think you can see why I love this one. The four little cups are perfect for sharing with friends and the kettle is always ready to put on so why not stop on over sometime?  I would love to treat you to a nice cup of tea.

We sell tea in Starbucks, but I think the experience is very different. I think coffee is something that is quick – it’s transactional. I think tea is more Zen-like. It requires a different environment.  Howard Schulz

Whoa, that’s a lot of corks! I had no clue you’re a Cork Dork! LOL If so, I’d highly recommend the Book Cork Dork by Bianca Bosker… A memoir of her time becoming a sommelier.

Well that sounds lovely! I will check it out! I usually write significant dates on the corks of when we had the bottle. Graduations, parties, holidays, etc. It is a fun way to remember how many special days there are in our lives.

This has to be one of my favorites you’ve ever shared. I love a nice blue and white pattern and this one reminds me of a set my grandma had. I’ve always wanted one like this. Not just a tea set but also an everyday China set. So pretty!

If I lived nearer, I’d be over for a cup of tea. Miss you, my friend.

What a gorgeous set! I agree, tea is more Zen-like. Of course, I’m not a coffee-drinker, so there’s that, ha!
