Teatime Treats on Teapot Tuesday

10 Comments/ 387/ 0

There are so many wonderful things to serve with tea and sometimes it is difficult to decide what to choose. Another trip to the fabulous Book and Bee Tearoom in Hendersonville, NC found me drooling over all of the wonderful selections on their afternoon tea caddy.

I shared my first visit to The Book and Bee here when my friend Beth and I went for lunch. This past week I grabbed my neighbor Elaine and scheduled a time for afternoon tea. It took a couple of phone calls to get a time secured that worked for both of us so if you want to go for tea you really need to book ahead a week at least. The special afternoon tea is only available with a reservation.

Fun thing is you get to pick your pot of tea which they will happily refill if you need more. I chose Silly Old Bear for mine this time and it was sweet, spicy and delightful.

We each got a wonderful 3 tiered tray with sweet and savory selections. Now I can’t remember what everything was but each little sandwich and pastry was delightful.

The sweets and scone were so good but honestly I ran out of room in my stomach so I procured a to go box to take the rest home and Mr. Diamond enjoyed my leftovers later in the day.

I was so happy to be able to be seated in my favorite room. I think you can understand why. Isn’t it just perfect?

If you are ever in the area make sure you look this place up. They are so welcoming and make every effort to make your visit perfect. I would totally suggest reservations even if you are just going for lunch or their newly opened breakfast . They are always busy and that assures you a definite time and spot.

Welcome to Tuesday – enjoy a cuppa with me, won’t you? Don’t forget to Comment for a. Cause for American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
