The Many Faces of Lady Penelope the Corgi

36 Comments/ 519/ 0

While I don’t have grand babies I do have grand kitties and a grand Corgi.  Lady Penelope aka Penny came to the beach with her parents for Christmas.  She is a very well behaved dog and the place we stayed was owned by dog lovers.  They even included a dog bed, toys and treats for her to enjoy while she was there.

She had just spent several weeks with her maternal grandparents while her parents traveled so I was not sure that I would still be favored since we hadn’t spent that  much time with her recently but rest assured – I am still loved.  Maybe not as much as her other grandma Hong but still -she loves me.

She waited outside my bedroom door while I got ready.  Didn’t come in – just waited.

And waited….

Sometimes she is very unladylike.  But she just wants a belly rub.

I love sandy toes but Penny loves a sandy nose.

Sometimes her idea of a beach walk is to not turn around and go home when I think it is time to go home.  A little bit stubborn at times but still lovable.

A beach is sometimes better with a dog.  I know a lot of people agree with this statement.  Thanks, Penny, for making the trip to the beach even more fun.

Old Girls in Low Cotton

This short book was one that looked like it would be a fun read. I honestly did not enjoy it all that much---it was a lot of characters bickering and while some of the writing was witty and funny it was not that kind of book that made m...

Another great book by John Green. I have become a huge fan of John Green since my reading of A Fault in our Stars and this book was another that did not disappoint me at all. It was a story of a child prodigy, a lot of anagrams, and a b...
