Yes, the yellow season is fully upon us. We are fully engulfed in Pollengeaddon here in North Carolina and most likely everywhere. I have been away from It’s Just Life for a few days and am reporting in today to share the pollen report.
It’s high. Really high. High enough that my body decided to tell me about it on my trip to Ohio with full on sneezing, coughing and general grossness. Oh it tried to ruin my visit with my sister but I would not let it. No way I was going to let a little pollen and allergies come between me and some sissy time.
But honestly – it is really a time of year that I love and hate. The greenness of everything is what I love the most but the pollen coated everything is irritating. I am over it but know that realistically we still have a couple more weeks of this yellowness before it is safe to do the power washing and outdoor clean up.
I don’t remember that I was bothered by pollen when I was younger but maybe I was just able to tolerate it a bit better. But as with all things – this too shall pass and I will be able to use my decks and dock freely without sneezing and coughing and turning yellow. What a glorious day that will be. Until then- please pass the Kleenex.
