Totally Catty on Teapot Tuesday

12 Comments/ 3868/ 2

If you know me you know that I love all animals. I am excited this week because I get to hopefully go feed a baby calf and see some of my favorite farm animals.

Cats have always been a part of my life and I have a long history of loving all of the cats that have come my way.  I bore everyone with constant pictures of Buddy and Holly on Instagram and Facebook but hey—they are pretty adorable I think you have to agree.  buddyholly

Today’s teapot was a perfect find at Tuesday Morning in Dothan. Shhhh–my teapot collection in the house we are renting in Dothan has begun and while it won’t rival what I have here in Iowa I am finding some fun ones when I am visiting there.  Today’s  no exception because it features cats.

Paul Cardew teapots are always a lot of fun and finding one that had cats on it was another great find.  Thanks for stopping in today and for seeing what is brewing on It’s Just Life.  It is a busy couple of months so lots will be going on.  Can’t wait to share it all with you.

One of the shining moments of my day is that when, having returned a little weary from an afternoon walk, I exchange boots for slippers, out-of-doors coat for easy, familiar, shabby jacket, and, in my deep, soft-elbowed chair, await the tea-tray…. [H]ow delicious is the soft yet penetrating odour which floats into my study, with the appearance of the teapot!… What a glow does it bring after a walk in chilly rain! ~George Gissing, The Private Papers of Henry Ryecroft, 1903

So is this teapot for you or the cats? I bet they’d love to have water poured from this teapot!
