Visual Dining – Planet Hollywood Observatory

15 Comments/ 95/ 1

Visual dining?  What on earth?

I had to share some neat pictures I took while Ann and I were dining at Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs  in Orlando, Florida a few weeks ago.   While the food was delicious the decor and surroundings were pretty doggone amazing as well.

While we ate we were able to watch the massive screen where different videos, music videos and 3D images were displayed.  It was a pretty amazing experience and I had the chance to take some pictures as the 3D images unfolded.

I had a better view from my seat than Ann had and I must admit I probably was a bit distracted by the rotating and ever changing displays but it was fun to see what would pop up next on the massive screen.

Going to a theme restaurant like this one is always a fun experience. There is a lot to take in and of course it included a gift shop.  It was Disney, after all.   I loved the food and the experience and it was the perfect place to grab lunch and enjoy the surroundings.

Have you ever visited a Planet Hollywood restaurant? What did you think?   Let me know in the comments section and remember that each comment this month means a 50 cent donation to Georgia Options, Inc.  — our Comments for a Cause recipient this month.

I think I went to a Planet Hollywood years ago but not sure were. I’ve been to more Hard Rock Cafe’s. I wouldn’t have eaten a bite and just stared at the screens.

Your photos are frame-able works of art. This is cool. What fun.

Never been to one, but I’m afraid those changing displays might make me dizzy! 😉 Pretty cool though.

They might make you dizzy but I was mesmerized. Poor Ann had to try to distract me!

Very good description. I was a bit overwhelmed at times and had to concentrate on eating! 🙂 Like that is a problem for me.

That sounds fun and kind of overwhelming! Haven’t been to one for years and years. When we went to Disney Springs, we naively thought we could waltz into the T Rex cafe for dinner – should have known those theme restaurants need rsvp!
