Waterfall Wednesday – Bass Pond Falls

5 Comments/ 16/ 0

Bass Pond Falls is not one of my normal waterfall posts but I figured it would work today. This waterfall is located on the Biltmore Estate property and we always say on our way out of the estate “We need to stop and walk to that sometime” and never do. Last week when we stopped when we went to see the Gardens Railway Exhibit. It is a quick hike to the base of the waterfall and it is a lovely path to walk.

Bass Pond Waterfall

As you can see you can stand on top of the waterfall on the bridge that spans the pond and watch as the water cascades down the drop off to the pool below. It is really quite soothing to watch.

The sun was especially bright the day we were here so pictures were difficult but you get the idea. While it is not the “typical” waterfall that I have shared on Waterfall Wednesday I think it works, don’t you?

Mr. Diamond grudgingly posed for me.

But wait – there’s more. Guess what we saw on the way down to the falls?

My favorite goats were doing a bit of brush control along the way to the falls and they were a bonus. You know how much I love goats.

Thanks for stopping by today. Make sure you remember to leave me a comment for our Comments for a Cause – Find Your Anchor.
