What’s On Your Camera Roll?

18 Comments/ 101/ 0

It was such a hit the first time I shared what was on my camera roll I decided to make it a semi regular feature on It’s Just Life.  It is an easy post and lets folks know what is going on in my world without a whole lengthy post.

So here you go.  For your viewing pleasure I present some of the unedited pictures from my phone camera roll.

Who would have thought posting a picture of a rotting avocado would create such a dialogue on Facebook?  Did you know that you can freeze the inside of an avocado?  One of my Canadian friends told me that and I have yet to try it because obviously it was too late for this one.  Getting avocados to be the correct ripeness is always a challenge, isn’t it?

My fairy garden was defiled.  I suspect Ricky the Raccoon.  I will rebuild. He won’t stop me.

The camellias are blooming and beautiful. A sure sign that spring is coming.  A sure sign.

Buddy hanging out just saying “What’s up?”

I treated myself to a solo lunch at PF Chang’s after my haircut. I am such a sucker for dumplings.

No wonder my bird feeders are always empty.

And finally proof that the sun still comes up.  Despite everything going on in my life and in the world I am blessed almost every day with a beautiful sunrise that I can watch from my bed.  Life doesn’t get much better than this.

These posts are so fun! It’s a fun glimpse into someone’s daily life. My first few photos are of popcorn, sushi, and my dog!

Fun! I can so relate to your destroyed fairy garden…. I’m already thinking I’m only planting zinnias this year: the deer completely ignore them! Love the picture of Buddy. And we, too, wake up to the sunrise from our bedroom window: it’s a blessing we never take for granted. Have a great weekend!

Zinnias sound like a great idea. Especially since your deer are bold enough to even come up on your deck, right? Hope you have a great weekend as well.

Beth Ann, you need a slinky for your bird feeder:

Great pictures! Your camellias are gorgeous. I seem to have a lot of pictures of my dog on my roll these days. Although I did take some of a carnival parade at the school today. Enjoy every sunrise!!

What a fun and interesting post. Please share more details on the avocado freezing (since I’m not on FB). I put mine in a brown paper bag on the kitchen counter to ripen. Works every time. How do you keep them from turning brown once cut open? That’s my question.

So you like dumplings. I don’t.

What a beautiful scene from your windows.

Fun post! Those camellias are gorgeous; ditto for the sunrise. Interesting to see what everyone takes photos of with their phones. Almost every one of my camera roll is of my granddaughter and now our second one too who was born in December. I won’t have as many of her though since she lives almost 6 hrs away from us, so I have to rely on her mommy & daddy to send me text photos. 🙂

Very fun to see your photos. Maybe we should have a day where we all post the last 10 photos on our phone. Most of mine right now are screen shots of things I want to remember.

The camellias are just beautiful, and I’m very envious of all the wildlife in your backyard not to mention the wonderful sunrise.
Most of my photos are of books or flea markets (where I look for books!)

I am keeping my fingers crossed that our fairy garden will survive the winter. We covered and it has a couple of feet of snow on it now, but hopefully it will mostly be intact. mmmm dumplings!!

Oh I hope your fairy garden fairs well as well. And yes–those dumplings were amazing. PF Changs may be a chain restaurant but I have never had a bad meal there.

Aw man someone had a good time with your fairy garden! It could have been the squirrels too, they can be so pesty. The one and only year I planted a garden the squirrels and birds ate all of the food before I could pick it.
