      Thanks. It is a really neat one but unfortunately not one we were able to go up inside. That is what I really love—being able to walk up and look out from the top of them.

    I would love to see this! Even though we live near a big river, it’s not so dangerous around here that we need lighthouses. they are such a great part of history. and I always think such a romantic setting for some reason. not sure why since I’ve only ever seen one up close! ha

      Lighthouses have always been a really special thing to me for some reason. They are all so different and symbols of strength in storms which is wha makes them even more significant for me, I think. Thanks for stopping by!

      I loved this lighthouse as well. North Carolina is home to several really amazing ones and I have been able to see them over the years which makes me happy.

    The exterior is so different from others, I had to research Old Baldy. I can’t believe we were so close to it last fall. I’ll put this on the list next time we head down that direction. So much history!

      It really is a different one, isn’t it? I just love the texture it has and it was totally deserted the day we visited so it made picture taking even better.
