Precious moments! Don’t think I’ve ever seen even a picture of a robin at that age before. Adult male robins have darker heads than females, which makes this one look like a “him,” but I don’t know if that’s true for barely-fledged robins.
Usually try to get seed that is kind of regionally appropriate. I have some in the feeders in Alabama and they hate the red millet or whatever it is so I won’t be getting a blend with that in it again. Usually sunflower seeds are a win and nyger seed for the finches.

Leave a commentRobert Robin is a cutie. We have many birds visiting us on our terrace in Spain.
Oh I bet you have a lovely terrace for them to visit as well! I loved this little guy!
That is a robin? What happened to his red breast?
He is a baby!!!!! It actually might be Robinette—I don’t know how to determine the sex in baby birds. 🙂
Ah, so cute. Great pix.
Thanks. I love this little guy with the crazy hair.
Still just a babe.
Yep—I was so worried it would not survive since it couldn’t fly yet but I saw it take a few short flights so I felt better.
Wonderful!
