Chaotic Goddess Book Swap Reveal

16 Comments/ 3009/ 0

I was thrilled to be a part of the Chaotic Goddess Blogger Book Swap again and had a stellar partner once again.  My partner this time was the sweet Emily from The Trial and Error Blog.  I was thrilled to meet her and have since started following her blog and her adventures on social media.

The ladies at Chaotic Goddess are so great to give us these opportunities to share swaps and to find new folks to follow and they have always been very helpful with any questions I have had.

Emily thoughtfully shipped my box early as I had told her I was going to be traveling. When I got home from Las Vegas and  BAMC16  I found this package on the table just waiting for me.  I was a little concerned that thing might have happened to the wonderful things inside because the box was a tad distressed but no worries.  It was all good.book swap

The rules of the swap are simple.  Share a book you love, one that your swap partner has on her wish list and one you want to read and Emily did just that.  She included some extra goodies as well which made the swap even better.  She wrote me a sweet note on a notecard just like some I have so you know we were meant to be swap partners. book swap2

First of all Emily chose The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult from my wish list.  I have wanted to read it for a long time.

Next she chose We Should Hang Out Sometime by Josh Sundquist that she says is hysterical and now I can’t wait to read it.  I have never read any of his work before so I am anxious to read a new to me author.

Finally she included Music Saved My Life which she wrote herself so how could this not be a great book for me to read?  I love that she included that one because I am going to learn so much more about her after I read it.

Finally she included a few extra fun things: a journal and pen and a great little book mark.  Perfect swap experience once again.

I have quite a pile of books to read now especially with my acquisitions at my recent BAM conference.  Good thing I have some airplane travel coming up where I can just read, right?

What book are you reading now?  Let me know in the comment section and Comment for a Cause.

What fun to get a box of books. I am reading Kill the Silence–A Survivor’s Life Reclaimed by Monika Korra.

That sounds like a very inspiring book you have on your agenda. I have to alternate between the serious and the light hearted reads or I get too serious. 🙂

Love your book swap items. You’ll have to let us all know about the books after you read them. I have to admit, with spring planting and getting closer to baby #4’s arrival I’m not reading anything currently 🙁 I’m trying to do better at keeping up on my blog reading though 😉

Let’s see…is it possible that I can comment here too, only six months after setting up a WordPress-hosted account of my own that automatically fouled up? I think so! Nice that the book swap is still going on…

It worked, Pricilla! I have had some issues with a few commenters here not being able to comment but hopefully it is fixed now. It was not everyone –just a few who could not get it to post which was very frustrating. Ended up being a Jetpack issue. Glad to see you are back!

I have just re-read both Raymond Chandler’s The Big Sleep and Agatha Christie’s The Mysterious Affair at Styles pre-course reading for a short course “Modus Operandi” an introduction to crime fiction genre.
And I have to agree, a box of books would be great to come home to.

OH my goodness–rereading those sounds like it would be great preparation for that course and how exciting than you are taking it. Books are always a great thing to come home to.

Such a fun box! I haven’t read any of the books included…looks like I have a couple to add to my own wishlist.

I’m so glad you had a great time! We strive to match fantastic bloggers together, especially ones we think will get along well. Yay! 😀
I haven’t heard of any of those three books, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how you like them. And I had no idea Emily was an author- how cool!
Thanks for joining us for this swap!
