Connestee Falls Beauty

6 Comments/ 97/ 1

Connestee Falls.

I say it so often.

We live in a beautiful place.  A really beautiful place.

So today’s post is mostly pictures.

There is a group of wonderfully dedicated Mountain Gardener volunteers here in Connestee Falls that manage all of the beautiful flowers.  I am in awe of how much work they have to do to keep up with all of the beds and gardens that scattered around the property.

Enjoy some of the fruits of their hard labors.

This is just a sampling from one of the gardens.  I know that with the wildlife who like to munch tender young plants and lovely flowers these gardens have to be tended to constantly.  I am so grateful for people who share their gifts with our community.

Do you have a green thumb?  What is your favorite summer flower?  I would love to hear all about it in the comments.  Each comment this month means a 50 cent donation to the Highland Youth Garden through my Comments for a Cause program.

You are blessed to live in a fabulously beautiful part of the world. My favourite summer flower is the sunflower. They make me happy every time I see them.

I love sunflowers as well! My sister has quite a few in her yard and some were just volunteers that she left alone to grow. All of them make me smile as well!

Yes, this is a beautiful area, but perhaps a tad too many trees for this prairie girl. I recognize some of my favorite prairie flowers– blazing star and coneflowers.

Give me trees anytime. I love them. While driving through Ohio this past week I realized how much I love the rolling hills and trees and the landscape when there is some texture to it. Peppered with plants and flowers and bushes and trees—that is the landscape I love.

You do live in a beautiful place! How fun, there was two blogs in my email today, yours & my Dad’s… His blog was all pics of flowers today too! Awesome. I’m taking that as a good sign!
