Falling Into Fall

12 Comments/ 188/ 0

Every year at this time I get a bit verklempt at the signs of fall. Don’t get me wrong – I love the cooler weather and the change of seasons but frankly I am never quite ready for it. As Chris and I took a nice long hike on Sunday I saw many signs that I had better get on board with fall because it is coming. And coming fast.

Fawn Lake

Lake Julia

The paths were strewn with fallen leaves, as is our driveway, and I am just not quite in the fall mode yet. I will get there but I feel like the summer flew by and what do I have to show for it? I just want it to last a little bit longer, I guess.

How about you? Are you ready for fall and all things pumpkin spice? Let me know in the comments and remember to Comment for a Cause for our September cause – Allied Whale Adopt a Whale.

Great pictures! Fall is always so pretty where you live. But, like you, I prefer summer to hang around a bit longer.

    Fall is beautiful!
It’s just that my summer is so much fun and filled with traditions- going to the lake, cookouts with family. Wearing shorts and flip flops! And instill have that, “I’m out of school for 3 months” feeling.
    A little PSL is fine!

I am soooo not ready to let go of summer! But Penny is ready for cooler weather, so I guess I’ll go along.

Definitely ready for fall! I love hoodie weather! I’m grateful the sun’s rays can be avoided a little more easily…and I love football! I’m there!

Definitely fall-ish here with cooler temps and leaves changing color.

Lovely photos…I’m seeing all of these things too. No, they do NOT mean it’s time for pumpkin spice. September deserves to be appreciated, not rushed through to Thanksgiving or (urgh ick) Halloween.
