As a blogger I find things everywhere to write about. It is kind of a joke in our family and I am sure it is the same in many families where there is a blogger.
“So Mom, you gonna blog about this?”
“Why do I have to wait to have you take a picture of my food before I can take a bite?”
“Do NOT put this on your blog.”
I think most bloggers can identify with the fact that almost anything can become a blog post. Really. It can be. I have blogged about the strangest things.
Those are just a few examples. So of course I was ecstatic when I was cruising around on Etsy and found this fabulous cup cozy. Several of you saw me post a picture of this on Facebook and loved it so guess what? I will be giving one away! Shop owner Diane from Etsy Shop Knotworks has an amazing collection of items for sale and together we have worked out some details and I will be happily giving one of these fun mug cozies away to one of my lucky readers. All you have to do is comment on this post and tell me what your favorite feature is on It’s Just Life. Not only does it give you an opportunity to win it also gives me some feedback on what you like to see on the blog. I will announce the winner on October 24th so that gives you plenty of time to leave a comment. (Thanks to Marci who told me I had put AUGUST as the date initially. Good grief.) Feel free to share the post with others so that they can have a chance to win as well.
Diane has also graciously agreed to give anyone a 20% discount on one of these to anyone who hops over to her other site to order. BLOG20 is the coupon code which will give you 20% off that one single item. Anything else you order would be regular price on this link . You will need to click on this link to take you to that site (Etsy is a little harder to do the discounts so this will be easier on Diane.) { Side note: some of her items are more “adult themed” or have language that could be offensive so please be aware of that. }
So there you have it. A wonderful fun giveaway. I have used this every single day since receiving it and it keeps my coffee and tea cozy warm. I can’t wait to give one to one of my lucky readers. Don’t forget to order one of your own with that 20% discount code. If you win you can share the wealth. Plus every comment goes to fund Comments for a Cause.

Oh great feedback! Thanks! So basically—my life, right? Quirky ! Thanks for stopping by, Doreen!
Yup…..you got it, GF!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!
I need that. I’m buying that. I need it on a T-shirt, too
It’s perfect, right? I love her stuff—-so creative. Thanks for stopping by!
I guess we all do hear that in our family. I hear, “You’re not going to write about this, right?” Hmm. Love the mug cozy!!!
We all have the same responses from our family. Thanks for stopping by!!!
Lol….yup…funny how not only WE think or say “I am blogging this” but our family asks if we are!! I love the variety of things you write about! Always learning!
Thanks, Joy! Our poor families sometimes. ?
I love that everything is a possible blog post – my son and daughter-in-law have just announced they are pregnant with my first grandbaby – guess what? I’m blogging that! I probably can’t enter because I’m in Australia but the mug warmer is really cute 🙂
Oh I would totally ship to Australia! Where are you at? We lived in Townsville / Saunders Beach for about a year. 🙂
Yes, my family will also tell you everything is potential blog material. Did the cup come with the cozy? Because the cup totally works with it. I love the color contrast.
The cup was actually a welcome gift from a church we visited here. It works, right?
I love this. The cozy and the post.
You know I’m *new*-ish to your blog, but I LOVE LOVE the comments for a cause. My goodness. I need to read up on how you’re doing this, etc. Fabulous.
Also – off to check out her shop! Fun stuff makes me happy!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Comments for a Cause is by far the best thing I do here! ?

Love your travel stories, devotionals, quirky finds, Chrisisms…yeah most everything. And can’t forget Comments for a Cause.
Thanks so much, Audrey! Indeed to work on the Chrisms — or rather Chris needs to come up with some more, right?
I’m so new to your site it’s hard to choose a favorite item, but must say I love your teapots! I can blog about anything as well — even had a recent one about my tea mug! 🙂
Oh I am so glad you like the teapots. I need to go check out your tea mug post!!!
That’s so cute. I love “Comments for a Cause” and Teapot Tuesday. 🙂
Thanks, Gibber! I love how faithful you are to comment!
You’re welcome 🙂
Love this cup and you know that I’m a Comments for a Cause fan!
I do know you are a Comments for a Cause fan! 🙂
LOL, it’s so true that random things happen and it inspires a blog post idea. So far they’ve just made it to the to write list and not actually on my blog. Thanks for the giveaway, Comments for a Cause sounds like a great endeavor! Stopping by from NCBN!
Somehow I just saw your response and am finally answering you! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I think we are all so much alike when it comes to those posts that we write that another blogger would not think twice about! Thanks again for stopping by!
I think that mug is cute. Sometimes random posts are our best work.
You know what? I agree! The randomness is sometimes the best thing I put out there. Thanks for stopping by!
I like all of your posts but your devotions are my favorites.
Thank you!!!!
That is sooo cute!!! I have so many things to blog about.. but hardly any time to blog these days! October has proven to be very busy.
I love the tea pots, but you know…. I miss those Chrisisms!!! LOL
I need to get him to come up with some new ones, don’t I ? He has not been giving me much lately. I had better crack the whip.
Love this post! Once again you’ve written something that feels very familiar to my life. I can’t count the number of times my kids have said, “Dad, you can’t blog this!” My favorite feature? As a new reader I appreciate the personal ones. It’s fun to get to know you. I also look forward to Tea Pot Tuesday to see what’s next in the series.
Yep—your kids are totally aware of what you do by now if they are telling you that! Love it. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!
I love when you write about life and your thoughts, those are my favorite posts.
Ah shucks. It’s just life, right? Love you, Mary.
I don’t know a blogger who has NOT said that! LOL I enjoy the whole variety of your posts.
We are all the same, right? 🙂
I love Comments for a Cause so much that I borrowed the idea for my own blog! I love that so many different organizations are being supported by this simple idea.
I am so glad you are doing Comments for a Cause. It is by far the best thing I have done on my blog and I am thrilled that you are doing it as well. Thanks for stopping by!
I love that whatever you write about comes across as encouraging. I feel like I could!d sit fdown and have tea with you. I enjoy your ability to keep your blog authentic!
Thanks, Robin. I really appreciate that and that makes me happy to know that someone gets who I am from what I write about. You are welcome to come to tea anytime!
Hello Beth Ann….I do so enjoy the Chrisisms. I love you beautiful red and yellow rockers. This week it sounds like the furnace will need to come on and stay on. No snow yet. Guessing that will be the least of your North Iowa misses. Please tell Chris hello. He is still fondly talked about by those of us who appreciated him. Take care Mary
I really need to bug him for some more. I think I need to just listen to him closer because I am sure there are some I am missing. WE are chilly in the morning when we get up but the beautiful thing is that it warms up as the day goes on. I am sure we will get a little snow but nothing like Iowa and yes—that will NOT be missed at all.
I love this and can totally relate!
I know you can!!!!
Whoa… Lotta comments here already! You don’t need to enter me in the giveaway, but I wanted to mention that your positive outlook on life is my personal favorite part of your blog. When there is so much going on that’s negative you are a positive beacon in the night. As I’m writing this on the radio is a news story about Isis and an exploding Russian plane… But on your blog is an article about a cup coozy, that’s why I’m a fan.
Yes—I blog about the breaking news a lot. Like mug cozies, 4 ft decorated bears and peanuts and the latest animal sighting in my yard. 🙂 Thanks, Josh!
