Sew Fine on Teapot Tuesday

5 Comments/ 95/ 0

Sewing machine teapot? Check.

This little cutie was found on eBay years ago and is, of course, one of my favorites. There was a day when I was quite the seamstress but those days are long gone, I am afraid. My sewing machine remains untouched in my craft room closet and just when I think it is time to dust it off and bring it out I get distracted.

But this. little teapot is one that I can look at and admire.

I think you have to agree that this one is pretty cute. Even if it does not sew a stitch it is a fun little teapot that is unique.

Tell me – are you a seamstress? I would love to hear about it in the comments so please Comment for a Cause for UMCOR.

I used to sew dresses for myself and two daughters. Now I am sporadically working on two quilts, but have to set up in the dining room and it’s a mess! Wish I had a craft room! I miss going into fabric stores (they are disappearing too) and picking material out.

I’m most definitely not a seamstress. I can mend small things by hand but never learned how to use a sewing machine. My grandma showed me a time it two and I loved watching her when she would use hers.
I’m continually amazed by how many different teapots you have. ❤️

Cute. Somehow this post suggests a story/poem Ysabetwordsmith ought to write some time, about how the seamstress of the hopeful post-apocalyptic future pedals a treadle machine that’s hooked up to a generator that heats a pot on the stove…

I learned to use sewing machines and made a few of the cut-and-sewn clothes I wear, but, after learning how, left sewing to Mother and concentrated on knitting. I have the skills but don’t seem to have the mental *space* for sewing, quilting, crochet, or embroidery…more wired to network with people who prefer to specialize in those crafts.

A seamstress I have never been or will be. lol I took Home Economics in school that was the dress and only dress I ever made. To make it worst our teacher make us do a fashion show for the whole high school. Need I say more! Love the teapot.
