95 Napkins

11 Comments/ 176/ 0

95 napkins.

I cleaned out the napkins from the car and there were 95 unused napkins. They have overrun the car.

Bag of napkins

Now this is not MY car. This is the car that belongs to the hubby. I don’t think I have more than 10 in mine.

The excessive napkin situation has occurred because as Chris has traveled places it is his habit to go through drive thru’s for coffee and lunch because of Covid.

The apparent winner is Dunkin Donuts with Starbucks coming in a close second place.

Yes, I separated them all and counted them out. Because YOU needed to know.

I have always used these napkins in the house as well. I remember well when we stayed with Carlton after the death of his dad. They had a little napkin holder that he made sure was full. When I had napkins from fast food places I would add them to the top of the stack. When I would get up in the morning those napkins that I had added to the top of the pile were removed and set on the counter to the side. Every single morning. No matter how many times I would put them in the holder he would undo my actions. They did not match and therefore they did not belong. Nor did he use them. Nope. Never. Not the napkin of choice.

It’s funny how a little thing like a fast food restaurant napkin can bring back a memory so clear and vivid, isn’t it? And it brought a smile to my face.

So if you ever pop over for a cup of tea or something at Casa Chiles you may just get a Dunkin Donut napkin. Trust me, they are just as good as the store bought ones.

Too funny! We, too, have stockpiles of napkins in the consoles of our vehicles. But I do use them in the house, too!

Wow that’s a lot of napkins. I always keep a few extras in the car after a fast-food stop. They come in handy with kids and dogs in the car.

Aha! Fabulous post! You sound like an OK Boomer! I may have to give this a mention. I bring them in and use them as needed- napkin, paper towel, or nose tissue duties.

I think we all have a plethora of napkins in the car thanks to the you know what. I always use them in the house too, so I would feel right at home siting with you in your kitchen. 🙂

You just brought back memories of my mom and her napkin stashing. And cracker stashing. And saving everything. I do some of the same things, but not quite as much.
