I always say I have THE best friends and if my post today does not convince you of that than I don’t know what will. Teapot Tuesday today will showcase two new to me teas that friends have gifted me.

First up is a really great tea from Greece that my new friend Elaine passed along to me. Her daughter brought her back some from a recent trip and she was sweet enough to share with me. The tea is light and I think I steeped it just the perfect amount of time because it was not bitter at all which sometimes happens when brewing unknown teas. This tea has a really nice flavor and I loved it. Thanks, Elaine!

The other tea that I received recently was a really neat black tea blend from Par Avion Tea. My friend Jeni from Jeni Eats sent me a tin of their special Midnight Blend which is a black tea with gold sugar balls. It is amazing and when you brew it the cup kind of glows and shimmers with the gold sugar balls. It is such a fun tea and the great thing about this tea company is that they give back. Written on the side of the tin I discovered that with every tin purchased one day of education is provided for a child in need. You know that is a winner in my book! Thanks, Jeni, for introducing me to a new tea company. More information is available on their website here.

These are two really wonderful teas to add to my collection and I just had to share them with my Teapot Tuesday readers. Thanks for stopping by today to share my love of tea. Tell me in the comments what your favorite tea is if you are a tea drinker. Comment for a Cause for AAUW Scholarships for Young Women.

Cook, Cook, drink your tea,
But save some in the pot for me.
We’ll watch the tea leaves in our cup
When our drink is all sipped up.
Happiness or fortune great,
What will our future be?

Leave a commentWow!! Those both look so great. You do have some wonderful friends. I am eagerly awaiting a visit from a Paris friend who is bringing me some tea. Can’t wait to see what she brings. I think we agree, tea is the best gift!!
Oooh—tea from Paris??? Sounds delightful!
What sweet friends! I am 90% sure I’ve had something that looks a lot like the first one. It was quite tasty! What’s the flavor profile of the second? Does it feel like an Assam?
I know!! They are the best! The second one was a lovely blend and I would say it did have notes of Assam. It was not overly strong and I am sure with different steeping times it would have different notes but it had a nice mild and lovely taste. Very smooth and perfect to drink on these rainy days we are having.
My daughter, Lisa, has reminded me that the tea was from Greece not Morocco.
She brought me tea from both places during her year long experience with National War College. Greece was her reward to herself for completion.
I will make the change!!! Thanks for the update!!!😊 Thanks again so much! I love it!
That’s so sweet of them to share! Both teas sound interesting. It’s fun to try new blends or types of tea and it always amazes me how many teas and teasans are out there.
How international you are! Brewed to perfection! Stin ygeiá sas!! (Cheers–I googled 🙂 )
Both of those teas are very interesting! It’s fun to try new blends, isn’t it?
They both look and sound wonderful. I must admit I have only drank tea from tea bags. I have a feeling I am missing a lot. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Not being a tea drinker (other than plain ol’ iced tea), you really educate me on teas. Who knew there was such a thing as gold sugar balls???
Right? They made the prettiest sheen on the tea!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it – it’s fun to read about the tea from Greece. I’m trying to imagine what it tastes like. I read that the Par Avion owner made some sparkling teas and color changing teas which I really really wanted to send you, but they didn’t seem to be available on the site-this one looked fun though!
