I have always loved photographing doors. When the beautiful door is on a church it is even better in my. humble opinion.
On our recent foray into the Blue Ridge Parkway area and beyond Chris and I stopped in the cute town of Highlands to grab a bite and to walk off some of the cramps from riding in the car. When we finally found a parking place at the edge of town we spied this church and without further delay we found out way across the street to take some photographs.
Of course the red door is what drew me in after seeing the spectacular architecture.
Reading the words above the door made it even better.
What a perfect way to enter a church. I adore this door and this message.
Later I looked up their website and found that The Church of the Incarnation is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina, The Episcopal Church, and the Anglican Communion. Holy Eucharist is offered on Sundays at 8 am and 10:30 pm at their location at 520 Main Street in Highlands, North Carolina. It looks like a beautiful place to worship.
As we walked down the street Chris commented that there was another beautiful photograph to be taken with the tree in the foreground. I agreed.

Leave a commentI love beautiful doors as well. This one is amazing. I also love the last picture with the tree in fall colours.
The church is beautiful and stunning. The door is incredible. I think many Episcopal churches have red doors, but I don’t know why. Thanks Beth Anne
Wow, what a spectacular church!!
That is a remarkable door both in color, hardware and message above. I can see why you love this door. I do, too. I love how Chris notices photo ops. Randy does, too. They know us well.
Gorgeous. I love how that red door stands out against the white of the building. ❤️
Beth Ann, you have made my day. I not only love church doors, but I also I love the whole church pictures. This church is just beautiful.
Isn’t it just the most beautiful thing? I was so blessed to find it and get a photograph.
