Joy comes in all shapes and sizes, doesn’t it?
Joy is the feeling of pleasure or happiness.
When was the last time you witnessed or experienced true joy? I hope that the answer to that question is that you experience it daily because I believe that is how God created us. I believe that we are created to bring joy and happiness to one another.
During this time of year I think it is easy to witness joy especially on the faces of children as they anticipate the wonders of Christmas time. All of the twinkling lights, bright decorations and happy Christmas music bring joy to even the most hardened of hearts.
The third candle is usually a pink candle. It is called the Shepherd’s Candle and is pink because rose is a liturgical color for joy. The third Sunday of Advent is Gaudete Sunday and is meant to remind us of the joy that the world experienced at the birth of Jesus, as well as the joy that the faithful have reached the midpoint of Advent.

Leave a commentThese days, and most days since my retirement, I find quiet joy in the small things around me, especially the small fuzzy girl.
Of course you do— that is the perfect place to find joy.
My daily joy comes from our pups. Walking in the house after dropping Ally of at school you’d think I’ve been gone for hours or days – their welcome is always full of joy. It’s delightful.
May the miracle of Christmas fill your heart with joy. I have this over our fireplace at Christmas. There is joy in big and little things and everything in between. We just need to look for it.
A great video. Thanks. Just what I needed. My dogs bring me much joy as do my children and grandchildren. This year my memories of mom and dad are bringing me joy as well. (and a few tears). Wishing you much joy during this Christmas season.
I found so much joy in retirement and spending more bless time with my hubby, family & friends.. Most of all spending more time with my Lord. Merry Christmas my friend..
I felt joy yesterday in observing my grandson’s reaction to his aunt and uncle’s new kitties. Pure wonderment and excitement which made his grandma feel such joy.
