Weekend Happiness

9 Comments/ 159/ 0

Last week was BUSY! It really does deserve bold capital letters and and exclamation mark. I had things going on every day, all day and multiple events. The weekend was welcomed by both of us and we spent the time enjoying the beautiful spring weather to the fullest. It appears that spring is here and if the pollen coating everything is any indication, the plants agree.

This is my absolute favorite time of year. The trees are the brightest shades of green as their new leaves unfurl and grow, the birds are busily building nests (usually in my ferns) and the hummingbirds make their appearance at my feeders. It is heaven on earth for me.

We enjoyed a lot of outside time including a hike by the Davidson River on our favorite trail, a little herb planting, deck and dock sitting and some nice outside time getting the yard spruced up a bit. It was a welcomed time and even though we wren busy it was a good kind of busy if that makes sense.

Leftovers from cooler days?

It was yet another one of those perfect days that I am putting into my memory bank. Oh — and I can’t wait for these herbs to start growing and looking lush.

What are you loving during this time of year? Tell me all about it in the comments and Comment for a Cause for Reece’s Rainbow.

I heard the weather was beautiful in the mountains over the weekend. And there’s nothing quite like a beautiful Spring day!

Your herb garden looks amazing. You will have a nice array of fresh herbs soon. Tell me, where do you get the pink mitten plants?

I am still waiting for spring to erupt here in Minnesota. In the meantime, I’m enjoying yours. That said, our temp reached nearly 80 on Saturday (a one-day fluke) so we too spent lots of time outdoors.

Spring is slowly showing itself here. We enjoyed a couple of warm days but colder temps are creeping in again. Soon though, I’m going to get out in the yard and garden…I hope!

Beautiful pictures! I’ve always wanted to plant an herb garden. Things are just starting to come up around here.
