What’s Your Fortune?

10 Comments/ 697/ 0

I love reading fortunes found in fortune cookies and usually have a cache of fortunes stuck in the change compartment of my wallet. We haven’t found a great Chinese place to eat around Brevard so my number of fortunes has diminished somewhat but I cleaned out my wallet the other day and decided it was time to share some of them with my readers today.

Sit back, sip a cup of tea and enjoy a few of the ones that Chris and I have collected.

Focus on your long term goal. Don’t hesitate to act now.

If you are wise with your decisions, good things are bound to come.

Everything is possible just not so probable.

Tomorrow the seas of your life will be calm.

Listen attentively. You will come out ahead in the next few days.

With integrity and consistency your credits are piling up.

Happiness is not a sword, it’s a consequence.

Fortitude is the guard and support of the other virtues.

A good movie will inspire you reach for the stars.

Hard work pays off in the future, laziness pays off now.

Your shoes will make you happy today.

Now is the time to try something new.

So there you have my little nugget of wisdom for the day. Do you have a favorite fortune that you have gotten in a fortune cookie? Let me know in the comments and Comment for a Cause for Donors Choose.

These are all great. I found this one hilarious. Hard work pays off in the future, laziness pays off now. I must remember that. And this one is very wise, Listen attentively. You will come out ahead in the next few days. I haven´t had a fortune cookie for quite awhile. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for reading! I do love reading fortunes at the end of my Chinese meal and sometimes they just end the meal perfectly. Other times they don’t make any sense. 🙂

I always get a kick out of those fortune cookie sayings too. Alas, I haven’t had a fortune cookie lately. The one restaurant here in our little burg where we could get delicious Chinese food changed ownership and then eventually closed. 🙁

Bummer. But don’t fortunes always end the meal perfectly?

Fortune cookie sayings can be fun and uplifting. You certainly have had some. Have not been to a Chinese restaurant in a while but not because of lack of restaurants to go to in Va Beach.

Some of these are pretty good — it is fun to see what they come up with.

These are good! I haven’t had a fortune cookie in quite a while, so no fortunes for me.

Fortunes are so much fun to read. Some are ridiculous and make no sense but some make me laugh out loud.
