A Bit of This and That

9 Comments/ 182/ 0

I have had a couple days of fighting a cold (tested negative for COVID) and have tried to slow down a bit and cancel out of a few things to let myself rest. Well, you know how that goes when there is much to be done. I probably did not rest enough but hopefully by this weekend I will be back to full strength and ready to take on all that I have had to put off. So how about a few pictures that chronicle the past few days?

Holly is a great snuggler when you don’t feel well. Maksim has to be in the right mood but Holly loves to sleep.

I found this Bubble Tea in Target and I absolutely love it. If anyone ever wants to make my day, get me some Bubble Tea. Especially when I have a cold.

I have put a container out for our delivery people during the holidays for years thanks to Val at Corn Beans Pigs and Kids tradition. This year I am doing it again but have added a few $5 Starbucks gift cards which have been a hit! They have been taken so I know that they will be used and appreciated. That is what I always give my curbside pick up folks and they act like it is a million dollars.

I did manage to get my Christmas teapots put out. This is not all of them but I love how these look on top of my buffet.

Of course I had a helper.

I got a new nativity this year made out of oyster shells. I love it.

Finally, I captioned this one “And lo…a giant appeared to the Holy Family.”

I hope you feel better soon. I love the new nativity. We visited a life sized one set up on the side of a mountain last weekend. They are so special.

You are getting a lot done even when sick. Thanks for the Bubble Tea idea. I’m going to pick some up for the son as a Christmas gift given he likes Bubble Tea. Or maybe the daughter can pick some up since we don’t have a Target in town. I hope you’re back to good health soon.

Sorry you’ve been sick, but goodness, you’ve been busy. The oyster nativity is so unique!

Hope you are feeling better! I am finally turning the corner on day eight. Luckily (knock on wood) no one else in the house got it. They were just sampling that bubble tea drink at Costco yesterday. Addie loved it.
