One of the virtues that Christ brings us is the virtue of love. Love changes everything.
While some denominations have a slightly different order to the candles that they light each week during Advent this week I am using the order that shares the second week of Advent as focusing on love.
Because of that one baby and because of that one night we can know the most perfect love ever.
This week as I see the lit candle of Love I am going to focus on sharing love in my words and my deeds. I am going to strive to eliminate negative words from my vocabulary and focus on the vastness of love in my life.
God has truly blessed me with love in very tangible and meaningful ways and I suspect He has done the same for you. I would love to hear what your thoughts are today so please feel free to comment.

Leave a commentWhen John Lennon was asked what were the most important words he ever wrote, he said, “All you need is love.” I so agree. Love conquers all. Have a great day, full of love. <3
I LOVE this. It is true and such a great song to remind us daily of the love that can truly conquer all. Thanks, Darlene!
Three things will last forever–faith, hope, and love–and the greatest of these is love.
Perfect response, Bernadette. Absolutely perfect. Thank you.
Love covers a multitude of sins. When faced with wrong treatment, ugliness, sadness, or any of the terrible situations that surround us, I believe the best response is love. Too many have received too little.
And that is my bleeding heart thought today! I love you, dear friend.
I love you, Virginia, and know that you are one of the most shining examples of love in my life. You seek out those who have been treated unjustly and you simply love them. That to me is the best example of love in action. I admire your strength and your ability to see beyond what the world often sees and offer love instead of judgment and indifference.
I love the idea of being more intentional of showing love in all my actions and words! Thanks for the reminder!
It is a good thing to set as a goal, isn’ t it?
Beth Ann, you are a constant example to me of love. Your kindness, your compassion, your positive attitude, your generosity are all examples to be followed.
We can, in so many small ways, show love. Example: Yesterday when I was shopping, a woman was frantically looking for her cell phone. I offered to dial her number, thinking the ringing would help her to find it. She accepted. While my calls didn’t directly locate her phone, someone had found it and turned it in. That person chose to do the right thing. And the woman was also grateful for my efforts. We have the opportunity every day to make a positive difference.
Thank you for your focus on love.
It’s things like that that are Christ in action in the real world today. Small little gestures that really add up to make a difference. Thanks for sharing your story.
Your outlook is always uplifting! Happy Holidays!
A great reminder not just for this time of year but every day to extend a hand of kindness in love. As a fellow believer in Christ, I agree that little baby changed the world as no other has ever done. I just wish more people would come to know Him through the love we show them, that’s why we must never stop shining His light into this dark world.
