Botanical Model Train Exhibit – Biltmore Estate

7 Comments/ 100/ 0

Once again Biltmore has created a wonderful outside exhibit that visitors can explore. The Biltmore Gardens Railway exhibit is on display in Antler Village from July 1, 2020 until February 15, 2021. Last year I loved the exhibit and of course shared it with my readers. You can click here to go directly to that post.

On our last trip to the estate we walked around a bit and I got a few shots of the exhibit while dodging people.

As they have done in the past the exhibit is made of botanical items many of which are found on the grounds.

This year the exhibit features many of the depots around the country in miniature scale.

Created and designed by the award winning team at Applied Imagination, Ltd. this exhibit is one that will delight all ages of train enthusiasts. The day we visited we saw all ages enjoying the trains and the miniature buildings.

It’s just another reason to visit Biltmore, isn’ t it? The estate is practicing safe guidelines for visiting with regards to Covid-19 and Chris and I have always felt very comfortable visiting the grounds. Just make sure to check their website here before you go to make sure you have all of the most up to date information.

Oh, my granddaughter would love this as she’s into trains right now. Thomas the Tank Engine, anyway.

Thomas would be welcome here as well. It is such a neat exhibit and even non train lovers would be enthralled with the intricacies.

This is one exhibit I’d love to see. Trains hold a special place in my heart, for one, I love train travel in Germany and Europe, and two, my grandma worked as a train conductor for most of my childhood and I loved visiting her at the train station and help her hand out tickets and so on, and my uncle used to be a train engineer (driver) and he’d let me hang with him in the locomotive if he happened to be on the route that I would have to take . He also built a model train village that took over most of his room.
