Feeling Grateful on Teapot Tuesday

18 Comments/ 74/ 0

Teapot Tuesday is so much fun for me to share with my readers.

It may be a teapot.

It may be a new tea that I have added to the collection.

It may even be a tea themed book.

But when I get a new teapot gifted to me by a very special friend it makes it even better.

I received a really sweet package in the mail this week from fellow blogger and friend Dianna who blogs at These Days of Mine.  I have followed Dianna for quite awhile and love her blog.  One of her passions is photographing the wild  horses at Corolla.   She is so talented and has captured some pretty amazing images over the years.

She so inspired me that I chose the Corolla Wild Horse Fund for a recent Comments for a Cause.

In typical Dianna fashion she sent me a thank you gift that arrived this week.  She had looked long and hard for the perfect little teapot and here it is.

Just look at these details.  I adore it and it is such a sweet reminder of my friendship with a very special lady.  I am so grateful that our paths are crossed on the inter webs and I am so looking forward to the day when we can finally meet in person.  It WILL happen.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Dianna.

“The very sight of a teapot puts a smile on the face of most people. One cannot help but think of more serene and genteel times. From a whimsical child’s teapot to an elegant English Teapot, to collectible teapots that adorn some homes, they are a subtle reminder of all that is good in this world.” ~ Barbara Roberts

Oh my! This is one amazing teapot from Dianna. It makes me think of my dad and his love of horses. He would have liked it very much and although he usually drank coffee, he would have enjoyed a cup of tea from this teapot. I love everything about it especially the chain attached to the lid. Is the lid porcelain or metal? This one will need a place of honour.

It is the most adorable little teapot ever. It is porcelain and even though it doesn’t really show the scale it is small and not really a useable teapot but it is so doggone adorable and perfect from coming from Dianna! Thanks for stopping by!

I’ve never seen a teapot like that. It’s absolutely unique and made even more special by its reminder of Dianna.

It is more of a miniature teapot–not really one for brewing but it is really well made and beautifully crafted. I will always have a special spot for it !

Oh, the pretty little horses…my brother and I both went through phases of collecting any horse image. I still have our combined model “herd” on a shelf at home.

That is really fun that you still have your herd together! I always loved horses as well but never really had a collection.

Love the details of this teapot. Another special one for your collection! It’s so amazing to see wild horses. Hard to imagine there still are some around. So happy we haven’t destroyed everything yet.
