Messages on the Beach

20 Comments/ 4860/ 3

Have you ever seen messages on the beach? On a recent trip to Santa Rosa Beach in Florida I enjoyed a lot of walks on the beach which is my favorite thing to do.  I never tire of the beach and each one is so different that there is always something new to see.

This past trip I was walking one morning and happened upon a series of messages that just said the perfect words to me at that particular time.beach

They are perfect, aren’t they?  Although I just about did not catch the last one as the tide was coming in.

The beach is my happy spot and I always have photos to share, don’t I?  Enjoy a bit of Santa Rosa Beach on 30A which has become my favorite area in Florida.

And sunsets and sunrises on the beach are like none other.  I think you have to agree with me on this.  beach9

So tell me—where is your happy place?

Walking on the beach is one of my favourite things to do as well. Those messages are perfect. Once in Hawaii we came across a message written with white stones. It said “We love you, Darlene.” It was obviously written for another Darlene but it made my day. Unfortunately I didn’t have my camera with me and it was before we took pictures with our phones. We returned the next day and it was gone.

I LOVE that story! The white rocks in Hawaii are a “thing” aren’t they? I loved seeing messages written out with them but did not see one as neat as yours. At least you took a picture in your mind. Thanks for sharing!

It was my first visit to Hawaii and I had not seen anything like it before. I will never forget it!

Perfect messages in such a beautiful spot! Thanks for sharing them with us. I claim a number of happy places from the beach to my front porch swing. 🙂

Perhaps that last message on the beach was not there not because the tide washed it away, but because He walked again on the water…

I believe that time spent walking the water’s edge awakens all of our senses and clears out so many cobwebs in my mind leaving behind only freshness and a pure cleansing. Such time spent is truly a gift!!!! (especially when the sand carries such profound truths!)

I’ve only ever seen the ocean once, decades ago on a cold day in March on the East Coast. So thank you for sharing these scenes with me. The sunset is beautiful.

And, yes, those messages in the sand are perfect.

Santa Rosa Beach is where I got the very WORST sunburn of my life! As you showed us, it’s just so beautiful there, with the gentle breeze and rolling waves, that I didn’t even think about my Irish skin. Boy, did I hurt afterward though!

What beautiful and insightful medsages; now if we’d all just follow them! I too love to walk on the beach and feel the soft sand beneath my feet. My daily happy spot is sitting on porch swing in back yard, dreaming of course, of taking a trip to the coast!!

Lovely. So nice that someone took the time to share those truths! And that you spied them before they were gone. Reminds me of that Footprints poem.

Tom and I are at Myrtle Beach right now. Amazingly enough, we had never been here before, so we are meeting some friends on their spring break. Love the beach. Hate the traffic!

We just left Surfside Beach yesterday! :-). We could have met up again. Hope you have a great time– it was pretty rainy for us but I didn’t care too much.
