Sunrise, Sunset

8 Comments/ 100/ 0

If you have been around here very long you know that I love all things about sunrises and sunsets. I often share on Facebook the sunrise that I see in the mornings from my bedroom. It is one of the best things about where our house is situated. We get to wake up to some spectacular sunrises.

This week we have spent at the beach and I specifically wanted to be on a beach where I could see both sunrise and sunset from our condo. I also chose a unit that has a bedroom with a view of the beach. We have rented enough beach places over the years that I know what I like and so it is easy to rule rentals out that have bedrooms in the back part of the condo. Some may call that picky but hey – if you are going to pay to rent a place it should be what you want, right?

So this rental is pretty perfect with a large balcony with plenty of beach side seating, short walk to the beach and lovely views and sounds. The sunrises and sunsets have been sporadic due to clouds but here are a few that were worth photographing.

When I see the colors in the sky I can not help but thank God that I have eyes to see, the blessing to be able to be in beautiful places admiring nature, and the gift of life. There is so much negativity and sadness swirling around and it often is just the thing I need to help recenter and refocus me on what is really important.

Wishing each and every one of you a wonderful day filled with the colors and beauty of sunrises and sunsets that warm your heart.

These are gorgeous. I agree sunrises and sunsets are amazing and good for the soul. We get some awesome ones here too. And because the dogs get me up early for a walk these days, I get to see the sunrise. Love it.

You just can’t beat a sunrise or sunset over the water. When my mom was in assisted living, there was a picture in the hallway with a quote that is so meaningful: “The sun setting is no less beautiful than the sun rising”.

There’s nothing quite like a beautiful sunrise ir sunset. I like both… and I love sitting at the beach and watching the sun come up or dip into the waves. But for me, there’s nothing quite like a mountain sunrise/sunset. Oh how I’ve enjoyed both whenever we are there.

Those are beautiful pictures. I love sunsets over the water, too. When we lived in Florida, my family would sometimes go to an east coast beach and sometimes to a west coast beach Both were beautiful. I think I love the sunsets because when the sun dips down below the horizon, it is almost as if God has turned off the light and it is gets very quiet. Both times of the day are wonderful! Thanks for sharing!
