Things I Learned in Chicago #NIBTravel

23 Comments/ 4590/ 4

There will be a multitude of posts coming over the next couple of weeks detailing our North Iowa Blogger trip to Chicago.  Suffice it to say it was everything I had hoped for and more.  The 8 of us had a great time.

Friendships were made stronger.

Laughter was loud.

Jokes were many.

Hashtags were created.

I took a 2 hour nap Sunday afternoon. Chicago plum wore me out.

So instead of a long post I will give you just a few things that I learned due to my trip to Chicago on today’s blog. Stay tuned for more posts beginning Thursday.

This post is so much fun! I miss Bernadette already. I tried to draw a face on her but it was too hard. So excited I made your list! Thanks for being such a calm and encouraging travel buddy. You and Sara are pros.

It was so much fun. Even though I got Bernie it still was worth it all. I had to highlight you—-all hopped up on your meds. 🙂

I know! If only we could have met up! But we were pretty well booked and it looks like you had a lot of dates with food! 🙂 What was your favorite?

Looks like the gang of bloggers had lots of fun. Think you need to stick to tea pots for souvenirs after looking at your foot though.

You might be right, Ozzie. I did find a teapot but did not buy it–can you believe it? The blister is all better already, thank goodness. Just in time for my trip to New York!

It’s nice to know DoubleTree likes it quiet. I’ve stayed places I wish that had been the case. Glad that blister didn’t pop–that would really hurt! Thanks for the heads up on the travel meds!

Doubletree told us that they were close to a huge party area and that is why they enforce the policy. Not a bad idea and since we had a cancelled flight we were all ready to just head to bed. Bernie the Blister did pop but it wasn’t a big deal at all, thank goodness.

I think how we handle these travel oopsies determines how they remain in our memory. If you think of getting lost as a great way to see a part of the city you had no intention of visiting, it can be an adventure.
