What’s On My Wall

22 Comments/ 95/ 1

Today is another quick edition of What’s On My Wall on It’s Just Life.  I really do appreciate how everyone stops by the blog and some days I know my posts are much more interesting than other days.   This month, as you might remember, our Comments for a Cause is Free Rein which is just down the road from us.  I thought today some of you might be willing to leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite thing is that is on YOUR wall.

The picture I am featuring today is a fairly new addition thanks to a recent trip to Hobby Lobby.  It now resides in our “apartment” over the garage and I decided to come over here to write some blog posts today.  It is a nice space and sometimes I come up with better ideas when I am in a different place.  As I am sitting on the couch I can see this piece and it makes me smile.

You get the idea.  A little dry erase marker allows me to change the text and hopefully when we have company they will feel free to add their own thoughts on the picture.  This little beauty is the perfect 12 x 12 size and hangs on the wall where it can be seen when you walk up the stairs.  I love the placement and the thought behind it.  Because don’t we all have a great deal to be thankful for?

Let me know what is on your wall or what you are thankful today.  I love to read your comments and each one is a 50 cent donation so it is a win win in my book.  Have a great day!

ALWAYS thankful for my family! And our health! One of the walls in our living room is dedicated to Bacon’s Castle, and I have several large photos, a needlework of it done by my niece, a sketch by my great nephew and two framed magazine articles which I was fortunate to be involved with hanging there.

Bacon’s Castle is such a great part of your life and I love that you have an entire wall devoted to it. That is exactly how it should be for such a special place.

Cole has created some beautiful pieces of art over the years as did his dad, so most of what hangs on our walls are their work. Since photography is such a big part of our lives I also usually rotate favorite pictures from the camera. A vision board hangs by a large window where good things fly in….it has fun and inspirational sayings, checks we would like to write, goals, aspirations, and probably best of all post- a -notes with our accomplishments. Below it is a table where I keep meaningfully memorable—like favorite cards :-D. Today I am thankful for the dawn of a new day full of possibilities.

I love what shares space on your walls and I can picture your vision board. And yes—so important to celebrate your accomplishments and achievements!

Is this the room I´ll stay in when I come to visit one day? I would be happy to see this on the wall. On my wall in my office are pictures of my family. I especially love the calendar my son put together of him and his 4 kids and 2 grand-kids and 3 grand-dogs. A very special gift.

Yes!!!! absolutely! Family pictures are the best. I do a photo calendar every year and this year it will be mainly pictures from Croatia and Paris. That is on my to do list today. I had hoped to get it done it earlier but just didn’t get to it. Where does the time go?

L9ve your latest “on my wall post” I added something to my wall in the kitchen eating area a few days ago. I was going through some things my younger son had left and found a 16 x 16 photo canvas he had had made of him and his new car. He looks so happy and proud. Love it

That is awesome! I love that you put that picture up of your son–then you can admire him and his car whenever you walk in your kitchen!

What a great idea. Friends gave us a plain whiteboard about a year ago upon which to write messages to each other. This is inspiring me to write a note to my husband today. Maybe I’ll use it in our guest bedroom.

That is a great gift. I leave notes for Chris all the time in various places but my favorite is to tuck something in his suitcase when he travels. Which lately has been a lot. So I need a lot of notes. 🙂

Some of my favorite things on my walls is my kids art work. I’m always impressed with how talented they are and love to display what they made. I need to get some more frames and hang more of their things.

I love kid art and you are so smart to display it . I always had it on the refrigerator when they were growing up but I really love the idea of having it framed and rotating it in and out. I bet your kids do have some really amazing stuff that they have created.

I have a bulletin board above my desk. Centered on the board is a round circle – We Value…Radiating out from the center are our core values, under the heading “Live Less Out of Habit and More Out of Intent.” Around the outside edges of the board, very changeable are several cards, quotes and ideas, including “Some friends make your day better…and some friends make your life better,” and “Measure yourself by your own criteria rather than the judgments of others.” And one little card that says, “Remember your dreams!” ~ Lynn

That is a really great idea. I can almost see it from your great description and it would be very inspiring to see that every day. Thanks for sharing!
