Teapot Tuesday – Tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright

11 Comments/ 123/ 0

Living in Mason City, Iowa gave me an appreciation for the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. Mason City is home to many homes designed by students of the famous architect and also is home to a fully functioning and renovated Frank Lloyd Wright hotel — the Historic Park Inn.

My parents also loved his architecture and often reminisced about the time they saw him on one of their trips to NYC. They did not speak to him but they knew it was him and were thrilled. We have been able to tour several of his buildings over the years and I am always amazed at the craftsmanship and design.

I found this cute teapot on Ebay quite by accident and was thrilled when I won the auction.  It was listed as follows:  Frank Lloyd Wright Tea Pot  Art Institute of Chicago 1993 COPCO Stained Glass.

Aren’t I just the lucky one to have this great teapot in my collection? I think so. If I ever get lonesome for Mason City I can just brew a pot of tea in my special teapot and feel better.

Hope you have an amazing Tuesday. Leave me a comment and let me know what your plans are today. I would love to hear all about them. Each comment made on the blog this month means a 50 cent donation to our Comments for a Cause – Transylvania Christian Ministry Sharing House.

I´ll have some tea, Earl Grey, hot please. Perfect for the Frank Lloyd Wright teapot. What a gem! It´s hubby´s birthday today and I made him a chocolate cake and invited Dot´s 2 best friends and their owners over for a cup of tea and a slice of cake on our terrace. Of course there was a bowl of doggie treats too. Everyone had fun!

Now that was one cool find for you! But I’ll skip the Earl Grey tea, it’s not my favorite.

Earl Grey has a distinctive taste, doesn’t it? I have to be in the right mood to drink it.

That’s a really cool find. Definitely something to treasure. Not that any of your other teapots shouldn’t be treasured.
Kudos for the Star Trek video – we are trekkies and just recently watched the new Star Trek Picard – so good. 🙂
